This is a writing sample in two parts, and it takes most people 30 to 45 minutes.

Part one, headlines. We'll show you 5 real news events, one at a time. Write a headline for each the way you'd publish it. There's no clock on screen, but we note how long each one takes.

Part two, the post. One more event, and this time you write the headline and the full post. Aim for 300 to 500 words. This part has a visible clock that runs from when you press Start until you submit. There's no hard limit, but we track how long you take. You can swap that event up to 3 times if you need to.
